Si Hough I love this new EP from Robert. A good progression from afterglow. It is different but still retains similar connections to the previous.

The lyrics really Stand out for me particularly in Daybreak. They are outstanding and mixed with his guitar skills and lovely voice makes for a great listen.

At such a reasonable price, it's a must buy!
Favorite track: Daybreak.

Tommy This EP is a huge step up from the already great 'Afterglow' the music here is more varied, however, it all follows Robert Barnett's signature sound.

Stand out tracks are: 'Hunter's Moon', 'The Girl Who Played' and 'Charlotte'.

Beautiful instrumentals, well written lyrics, emotive vocal performances, and melodic guitar are a staple of this EP.

Summary: Huge improvement from the already great 'Afterglow' and worth every penny at just £2.50. Favorite track: Hunter's Moon.

about

'Seasons & Time' is the culmination of a years worth of solo performing and refinement. Recorded in late 2014 and early 2015 between Rugby and Hatfield, the songs within tell (for the most part) of the life of an onlooker, who through the seasons and time of the year, watches the people they hold dear in their life.

A miscellany for the fields and the fireside... 'Seasons & Time' is an EP that exemplifies the dichotomy between assurance and insecurity, deep unsated sadness and baseless optimism. What may appear dour on the surface, may in fact be hope. Tomorrow always promises better things, and if today is not your day, remember that there's always someone thinking of you. After all, we all live in seasons and time.

As the title suggest, an EP that can be listened to with relevance to anytime of the day, anytime of the year. I'd recommend listening to the tracks in order throughout the night until dawn. Then you can pop 'Afterglow' on!

Dedicated to Charlotte Mucklow and Thomas Love.

Track Name: Daybreak
Rose tinted dawn.
You look so forlorn,
Crying on the lawn,
When the morning’s born.

Standing on the edge,
The moon is just a wedge,
Just beyond the hedge,
The morning’s on the ledge.

Maybe things will be better by daybreak,
The sun in the sky shines on through.
Maybe things will be better by daybreak,
The sun in the sky shines on through.
Maybe things will be better by daybreak,
The sun in the sky shines on through.

Heavy heart and mind,
Begin to unwind.
Through the thoughts of night,
Come out the brightest sights.

Rainbows paint our lives,
As they do the skies.
When darkness dives,
We know we're alive.

Maybe things will be better by daybreak,
The sun in the sky shines on through.
Maybe things will be better by daybreak,
The sun in the sky shines on through.
Maybe things will be better by daybreak,
The sun in the sky shines on through.

Find your balance and you'll hit home.
Find yourself and do no wrong.
Find your way across the sky.
Find your way back home!

Maybe things will be better by daybreak,
The sun in the sky shines on through.
Maybe things will be better by daybreak,
The sun in the sky shines on through.
Maybe things will be better by daybreak,
The sun in the sky shines on through.
Maybe thing will be better by daybreak,
The sun in the sky shines on through.
Track Name: Hunter's Moon
Born of love,
But time’s been though.
Keep your eyes up,
Watch the Hunter’s Moon.

Autumn’s past its line,
And you have too.
But remember this:
You complete me.

Playing cards with chance,
And he has an ace.
Pushing weights to breathe,
Lifting life and death.

Autumn’s past its line,
And you have too.
But remember this:
You complete me.

Don’t you think that you don’t have a home?
I put my hands upon the glass for you.
Walking through the darkest streets to you,
Because you complete me.

So you know the truth,
This song’s for two:
Both coloured blue,
Both shining through.

Autumn’s past its line,
And you have too.
But remember this:
You complete me,
You complete me,
Oh, you complete me,
Yeah, you complete me!

Track Name: Open Road
I took a trip on this darkened road,
I was cold, and all alone.
I'm stood at the crossroads,
Nowhere to go.
I don't want to go down any road.

When nature gets her pastels out,
Her canvas starts to shoot and sprout.
All around me the weeds they grow.
Now I'm starting to go down slow.

When you hit the open road,
Keep in mind that the world it turns.
No matter how far you go,
Your heart and mind will always return.

I wear this chain around my neck;
St Christopher knows all the ways ahead.
Through the trees and the sacred wood,
You'll find a place once inside that’s good.

When you hit the open road,
Keep in mind that the world it turns.
No matter how far you go,
Your heart and mind will always return.

Oh look, we're at the bridge!
The tide is starting to draw on in.
Shall we cross, is the structure safe?
Feeling like a helpless waif.
Under the trees, we make a blanket that’s safe.
Under the stars we can sail to mars.
It’s back to the verse, no time for refrain;
Start over again...

Well this should be a pretty tune,
But my voice lets down the cast and crew.
So if you think this is a song for you,
Then why don't you all sing along?
Track Name: The Girl Who Played
Well this song’s about the girl who played,
It’s about the girl who rolled them dice.
She liked to gamble all night and day,
She never liked to say no.
Well she was the best in all the land,
A winning look and a steady hand.
Ain't no one beat her in all her days,
How little she knew…

When she got,
Up to roll,
On that day.
Fate said that it would choke.
Destiny woke,
And had a word to say.

The worlds a gamble and life’s a game,
That’s what she always used to say.
But every debt has a price to pay,
That she will tonight soon know.
She placed her bet and the board was set,
She was left with nowhere to go.
And to her shock what did she see?
Her lonely world span so low.

And so she,
Fell to her knees.
And began to say:
"What fortune!
Why today?
Why must you treat me this way?"

And then he came,
Through the crowd.
He picked up the dice,
And shouted loud:
"All or nothing,
For her stake,
Not your destiny,
Not your fate!"
And then he rolled…

Well this was about the girl who played,
But now it’s about the guy who saved.
He picked her up and had to say,
That he fell for her that day.
He rolled and won her hand that day
Then they were wed in the month of May
There’s a lesson to be learned from this:
Go and live your life in bliss.

When you think that,
You own it all,
Just remember.
It’s nothing,
Without someone,
to share it with.
what’s the point,
If we cannot give?
